Urt & Ugras

Urt & Ugras is an exciting and innovative player in the food world, located on Stord. Founded by two passionate chefs, Julie and Fredrik, they bring a breath of fresh air to the dining experience.

Julie, originally known as Salmo, has an impressive track record that includes a chef's certificate, experience from the Norwegian National Culinary Team, and a gold medal from the 2016 Olympics. Fredrik, with 12 years of experience as a chef, including an apprenticeship with Arne Brimi in Lom, has also distinguished himself as the Norwegian Champion in culinary arts in 2013.

Urt & Ugras' concept is divided into two: "Urt" and "Ugras". "Urt" represents the fine and refined in the food world. They offer services for parties and weddings, as well as a unique "Home restaurant" concept, where they create a full evening at the customer's home. "Ugras", on the other hand, symbolizes the ever-changing trends in the food world. They convey this through concepts such as Ugras-lunch and Smaksbordet, which bring new flavors and trends to Stord.

Their commitment extends beyond just cooking. Julie and Fredrik are looking at the possibility of a good collaboration with the Cooking School and the training office, where they can arrange courses and professional development days together. This initiative shows their dedication to spreading the joy of food and inspiring the population with both new flavors and old favorites. Urt & Ugras stands for a unique blend of creativity, expertise and an ability to renew itself, which makes them an exciting and valuable partner for Løvaas Gård.
